Jesus said, “Come, follow Me, and
I will make you fishers of men.”
God's Purpose For You
We live in a world where most people long for purpose in their lives. We want to know that life means something and that what we do matters. God has placed that desire in each of us: the desire to belong, to be loved, and to know our life counts.
God made us for a purpose. That purpose is to have a relationship with Him and to live a life that counts for all eternity. The problem is that all of us have done things, said things, or thought things that displease God. We have broken that relationship. No matter how hard we try we always come up short. That is why God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to come to earth, to live, and then to give up His life for us. He came to die on the cross to make the payment for all the wrong things we would ever do. God loved you so much that He came and died for you. Every religion but one tells us to work hard and try to get to God. Those who follow Jesus know the truth that God came to us and offers us life freely.
If you want a life of Purpose, a life that matters for all eternity, it begins with receiving Jesus as your Savior. To receive God's gift of eternal life you simply need to talk to God. You could pray something like this "God, I know that I have done things that displease you. Forgive me. I believe that Jesus died for me, that he was buried and rose again from the dead. I want to receive Jesus into my life. In the best way I know how, I want to receive Jesus as my Savior. I give my life to you right now. I thank you for loving me and for forgiving me of all the wrong I have ever done."
If you prayed that prayer or if you have questions, please send us an e-mail, so we can help you with your relationship with Jesus. John 1:12 says "As many as received Him (Jesus) He gave them the right to become children of God. Even to those who believe in His Name."
